Amorn Tailors began in Kata Noi, Phuket, in 1997 as something of a happy accident. After years of working with and selling fabrics, Amorn had developed an instinctive understanding of how different materials feel, fall and move. Together with Renu, whose eye has always been drawn to fashion, detail and design, they decided to take their love of fabric one step further and begin creating garments of their own.

Nearly 30 years later, that combination still defines us. Amorn brings a deep knowledge of fabric and a natural ability to connect with people, while Renu has an exceptionally sharp eye for fit, proportion and the details that make a garment feel right on the person wearing it.

Our home has always been Kata Noi, Phuket. The neighbourhood has changed enormously since we first opened, and so has fashion. Today, clients arrive with everything from a simple idea to entire Pinterest boards, giving us the opportunity to create an increasingly varied range of custom clothing.

What has remained constant is the relationship we have with our clients. Many of the people who first came to us decades ago still order from us today, recommend us to their friends and families, and now bring their children to have clothing made.
